Biography

When facing a lawsuit, clients trust Jason Corrado’s more than twenty-five years of experience to quickly identify key issues and defenses and reach a just resolution that satisfies their needs. Mr. Corrado’s hands-on, personal approach provides clients individualized experiences and representation based on their practice, circumstances, and his adept analysis of a case. He brings understanding of the law, the medicine, and the people he is defending together to provide a cohesive and thoughtful defense on their behalf.

Mr. Corrado was admitted to practice in New York in 1999 following graduation from Hofstra University School of Law. He was a member of the Moot Court team, and received the prestigious Zeldes, Needle & Cooper Award for “Best Oralist” of the regional competition. He further conducted his first actual trial as a Student-Attorney in Nassau County District Court successfully defending an employee against claims of embezzlement.

With over thirty verdicts to date, Mr. Corrado’s clients benefit from his background as a long-term defense litigator. In addition, with significant past experience as a plaintiff’s attorney, he effectively analyzes a case’s weaknesses and strengths, identifies how all sides of an argument will be interpreted by a juror and determines how to best present the facts of the case in a clear way.

In addition to his experience with medical malpractice litigation, Mr. Corrado has likewise represented clients in connection with claims involving general liability, corporate litigation, professional contract disputes, and has extensive experience with employment litigation.

Mr. Corrado has also developed a focus in the industry’s burgeoning legal area of Federal cases involving constitutional violations. Clients particularly appreciate his extensive litigation experience in these matters as there is little precedent, and efficiency in resolving pertinent issues is vital. See, e.g., Estate of Keenan v. Rosenfeld, MD, et. al., 2019 WL 341006 (EDNY 2019), affirmed, 833 Fed.Appx. 489 (2nd Cir. 2020). He co-authored a publication on topic which appeared in the Journal of the New York Risk Management Chapter of ASHRM, and has given several presentations to clinicians on this and other topics of interest.
